McCarthy's $500 Cash Prize Karaoke Contest!
Contest begins January 27th, 2011
Playoffs begin March 2nd!
Grand Prize Finals 23rd!
Every Friday Between Jan 27 and February 24th the top 5 Karaoke singers at McCarthy's will qualify for the playoffs. Contestants who qualify will have the option to choose which date the would like to be scheduled for the opening round of the playoffs, either March 2nd or March 9th.
On March 2nd and 9th We will have our two week long first round of the playoffs. Over these two weeks 25 singers will sing, one song each. After the second week, we will announce the 12 that will move on to the second round.
On March 16th, Those 12 Semi Finalists will sing again for the judges, at the end of the evening, 6 will be eliminated, leaving 6 fiinalists.
On March 23rd, the 6 finalists will sing. 3 of them will be eliminated, and 3 will be asked to sing again. The final 3 will sing for the final time and the Winner will be selected. $500 Will be given to the Winner, with prized TBD for 2nd and 3rd place.
Judges will scoring 3 categories, for a possible total of 25 points.
1)Vocal Ability = 10 Possible Points.
2)Showmanship = 10 Possible Points
3)Crowd Reaction = 5 Possible Points
Rules and Notes:
*Performers May not repeat a song in the playoffs, however, they may re-use the song they qualified with.
*All Genre's of Music are Welcomed. However, performances must remain PG-13.
*You may use any song in the Kidron Music Karaoke Library, to check song availability, email Jesse@KidronMusic.com
